… The light at this time of year is lovely… Especially at the end of the day when the sun is sinking and the moon is rising and golden sunlight paints the naked trees golden… The spaces between trees open up to the light where leaves used to provide shade… Blackbirds rifle through the fallen leaves before daylight fades completely… Fingers and cheeks tingle in the crisp, chilly air… Anticipation… Autumn is giving way to winter… Change is in the air… It feels good…

  1. I love how you see describe the gaps in the trees where there used to be leaves as opening up to the light. It’s too easy to see winter as stark and dark – as Leonard Cohen said I think: “there is a crack in everything; it’s how the light gets in”. I also really like the design of your blog. I look forward to exploring more of it.
